<p>“Actualmente, la participación de proyectos que cumplen con las exigencias de la certificación en el país la encabezan las oficinas, con 42 por ciento, seguidas de comercio, 18 por ciento; usos residenciales e instituciones educativas, con 7 y 6 por ciento, respectivamente”, dijo la directiva, quien agregó que “las edificaciones se destacan porque mejoran la eficiencia, reducen las emisiones de carbono y crean lugares más saludables”.</p><p>Otro aspecto para tener en cuenta –que responde a las exigencias de los inversionistas y desarrolladores– es que para su ejecución se utilizan materiales y tecnologías que aportan a la sostenibilidad, en línea con las políticas públicas del país, que prevén llegar a edificaciones neto cero carbono en el 2050. A esto se suma una estrategia nacional de economía circular que prioriza al sector edificador.</p><p>Roberto Moreno, presidente de la constructora Amarilo, la primera en obtener la doble certificación LEED Platino por su sede corporativa en Bogotá, destacó que “el aporte sostenible del edificio está representado en 78 paneles solares, que generan el 15 por ciento de la energía para su funcionamiento, sistemas de tratamiento de agua lluvia y red de tuberías que se usan en sanitarios y riego de plantas; esto, además, permite ahorrar el 35,1 por ciento en el consumo de agua potable y 48,3 por ciento en energía; además, facilita la recolección de un 70 por ciento de aguas lluvias y la reutilización de un 32,3 por ciento de estas en los sanitarios”.</p><p>Estos beneficios tienen estrecha relación con el estudio 'Caso de Negocio de LEED en Latinoamérica' realizado por el CCCS para México y Colombia, en el cual los menores costos en la operación del edificio, reflejado en las facturas de servicios públicos, fueron algunos de los valores agregados, a los que se sumaron mejor salud y bienestar para los ocupantes de los edificios, cuyas quejas y tasas de ausentismo disminuyeron. Colombia, con más de 500 proyectos registrados con estándar LEED

<p>El esquema de certificación LEED para Ciudades y Comunidades ayuda a<br>los líderes progresistas a crear, operar y gestionar ecosistemas responsables<br>y regenerativos dentro de las comunidades. Hasta la fecha, se tienen<br>425 proyectos registrados y 100 proyectos certificados. </p><p>El esquema de LEED para Ciudades y Comunidades se lanzó en diciembre<br>de 2016, la versión 4.1 se lanzó en abril de 2019 y recientemente, a mediados<br>de 2023 y principios de 2024, se realizaron revisiones importantes.<br>Ahora, con el Comité de Consenso de Ciudades y Comunidades instaurado<br>en enero de 2024, el USGBC está trabajando en el lanzamiento de la versión<br>5 para 2025 y 2026. A nivel global, se tienen 214 proyectos LEED para Comunidades registrados, de los cuales 52 están certificados. Desde Colombia se están desarrollando 21 proyectos LEED para Comunidades y 55 en toda América Latina.</p><h3>Comunidades Regenerativas y Progresistas.</h3><p>Los proyectos LEED para Comunidades muestran estrategias<br>regenerativas para la conservación y restauración de recursos<br>naturales y ecosistemas, infraestructura verde y azul para una<br>ciudad esponja positiva en agua, economía circular, agricultura<br>urbana y sistemas alimentarios, y soluciones basadas en la naturaleza.<br>Destacan indicadores de rendimiento utilizados para<br>medir estas soluciones, lo que les permite evaluar, informar y<br>actuar sobre sus dependencias, impactos, riesgos y oportunidades<br>relacionados con la naturaleza.</p><h3>Resilientes por Naturaleza</h3><p>Los proyectos enfatizan la evaluación de vulnerabilidades y la<br>planificación para mejorar la resiliencia ecológica, y cómo utilizan<br>soluciones basadas en la naturaleza para fortalecer la resiliencia<br>de las comunidades frente a eventos adversos como los<br>riesgos del cambio climático, peligros naturales e inducidos por<br>el hombre, y eventos extremos. Estos proyectos aprovechan el<br>poder de los ecosistemas naturales para abordar los desafíos<br>interrelacionados de la pérdida de biodiversidad, el cambio climático<br>y el desarrollo sostenible.</p><p>En el contexto colombiano se tienen 21 proyectos registrados en LEED para<br>Comunidades en planeación y diseño, equivalentes a un total de 1319,76 hectáreas, lo cual sitúa al país como el segundo con más proyectos registrados<br>en esta modalidad, después de China.
